This is one of the best crinoids fossils in my collection. It is a spectacular Ichthyocrinus laevis double from the Silurian. This is an Extra Large impressive multi-specimen Plate/Slab. These primitive Flexible crinoids are nicely inflated and have beautifully defin type of crinoid has the small arms poorly preserved - this specimen exhibits the MANY tiny arms on BOTH crinoids beautifully! Each crinoid has a long, LONG stem still tightly attached to the crinoid crowns. The larger crinoid (ALMOST ten INCHES LONG!) had an EVEN LONGER STEM originally - you can see where some stem is missing at the bottom of the plate! The fossil sea lillies have great natural color and contrast and are wonderfully showcased on the large, squared plate of shale. This is an extremely collectible display example of a rare double Ichthyocrinus.
