This fascinating 1902 government bulletin from the Depart of Agriculture, Bureau of Animal Industry, describes the various types of horses, their characteristics, confirmations and uses for those in the business of selling them. The book has a number of wonderful full page glossy black and white photo to illustrate the different types. Modern readers will be familiar with Hunters, Draft horses and Saddle horses, but more unfamiliar are the many types of horse designed to pull a particular type of conveyance. There's the Roadster (the 1920's Nancy Drew has a roadster car!)  designed to pull a light carriage at a high rate of speed,  the Lady's Cobb and the coach horse, among others.
The paper cover is toned at the top and the spine is torn at the bottom and the top - it's also apart from the booklet. The text pages are toned, but the photos are less toned. There are some creased corners especially at the back.
