    Description

Offered here is a Bob Schacht exclusive. I’m the only one in the United States that has this for sale. Offered here in a rare double Dinotocrinus salteri crinoid from the Martin-Marietta Cloverdale quarry from the St. Louis Limestone Formation of Cloverdale, Indiana, Mississippian in age. This crinoid in the middle measures
    3
/4” wide and 3/8” long with 1/2” of attached stem. The feathery arms sweep along both sides of the crinoid. The second crinoid in the upper right measures 5/8” wide and 5/8” long with 1/2” of attached stem. The arms are fossilized in front of the crinoid. It sits on a matrix piece that measures 4 1/2” x 4”. If you want something no one has, this is it. This beautiful piece was found 3 years ago at the quarry. The quarry has a no collecting policy, but I’m lucky enough to know one of the quarry employees that got permission to allow me to collect on non-working weekends. The ledge where these were blasted and found has long been crushed for white rock. If you have purchased multiple items, please do not send payment until I send an invoice.
