Offered here is a beautifully prepared, collector grade Unknown/Unidentified crinoid from the Big Clifty Formation from Crawford County, Indiana, Mississippian in age. The crinoid cup measures 1/4” wide and the widest part of the arms measures 1 1/8” and is highly detailed. The matrix measures 2 5/8” x 2”. As you can see from the pictures, the crinoid is nicely articulated and has outstanding detail. This is a very fragile piece. The white calcite displays beautifully against the gray matrix. This is an extremely rare crinoid piece. This was found in 1978 and just recently prepared.
