Offered here is a beautifully prepared, highly detailed Taxocrinus whitfieldi crinoid with stem from the Big Clifty Formation from Crawford County, Indiana, Mississippian in age. The crinoid crown measures 1” wide and 2 1/8” of stem and has outstanding detail. The rare Pentremites

blastoid with brachioles measures 3/4” long and 1/2” wide. This is a rare combination piece. The matrix measures 3 1/2” x 2 1/4”. As you can see from the pictures, the crinoid and blastoid has great detail and the light calcite contrasts against the soft gray matrix. This beautiful piece was found about 30 years ago when the highway department was building I-64 between Cincinnati and Evansville.
