All Natural Silurian Crinoid, Scyphocrinites cf. elegans, Erfoud, Morocco

Description

This is an extremely well preserved, and prepped out plate of
Syphocrinites cf. elegans,
from the Silurian, near Erfoud in Morocco. The crinoid is a dark blackish-grey lying in its original matrix containing fragments of numerous crinoid stems. The entire plate, matrix and crinoid is 7.0 inches high, 4.45 inches wide at its widest and 1.0 inches at its thickest. The matrix has been stabilized with a penetrant as the matrix is a softish mud and needs to be stabilized, so as to make it hard and will, therefore, not crack. NO color has been added.
All of my specimens are guaranteed authentic and have been legally obtained.
